• most notably due to death, but also due to mental and emotional rupture. Core themes of the work include grief, transformation, and the body. In more specificity; the written work spans the disruption and grappling with several different mother figures, the death of multiple friends due to the synthetic opioid epidemic and my process of grieving that follows. This work investigates a shedding of past selves prompted by life and such losses; a conversation with memory, dreams, personal archives, and ghostly collaborations. I have incorporated photographs, poetry, lyric prose, and auditory components herein. All in-book photography is my own and has been shot on 35mm color film. Visual elements of the work have been arranged using tactile methods which were then translated into digital renderings meant to preserve the fingerprints of grief ’s residue.
